Rowers take the plunge for The Prince’s Initiative
On the 6th June 2012 David Bellamy and his three team mates, Richard Musgrave, Jonathan Billington and Rupert Postlethwaite took the plunge and rowed the length of the Thames to raise money for The Prince’s Initiative.
The challenge was by no means plain sailing; the 128 mile row started in Lechlade and finished in Richmond taking approximately 5 days and a lot of physical strength.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to David and his team mates for supporting us. The money raised will go towards helping the over 50s achieve financial, social and personal fulfilment through sustainable self-employment, business or social enterprise.

Whether it’s running a marathon, climbing a mountain or baking cakes – any activity you can do to help over 50s on their journey to self-employment and raise funds for them we would be extremely grateful.
